Laurentian University is committed to equity in employment and encourages applications from all qualified applicants, including women, aboriginal peoples, members of visible minorities and persons with disabilities.  Persons hired must have proof of legal authority to work in Canada.

Laurentian University is located in Sudbury, at the heart of Ontario's hard-rock mining industry. Laurentian is undertaking a major initiative to build on and strengthen its research and development contributions to the mining industry. Part of this initiative involved the creation of the Mining Innovation, Rehabilitation and Applied Research Corporation (MIRARCO). The focus of this not-for-profit corporation is the development and translation of research knowledge into practical technology that supports sustainable mining practices and economic diversification.  In pursuit of these goals Laurentian is now seeking applications for the above newly created positions.

While screening of candidates will commence immediately, applications will be accepted until the positions are filled. In accordance with Canadian immigration requirements, this advertisement is directed first to Canadian citizens and permanent residents.
