Mine seismicity and rockbursting have become primary risks in mining deep, high stress and mature mines. This seminar discusses a range of topics to help create a broad understanding of the causes and consequences of mininginduced seismicity, and the methodologies used for managing seismic related risk. The course is designed for mine operators, mine planners, engineers, geologists and technicians who desire to have a better understanding of mining-induced seismicity. A strong rock mechanics background is not prerequisite for this seminar. |
