A new organization has brought together more than 200 mining researchers under the same roof.
The Laurentian Mining Innovation and Technology initiative (LMIT) was established earlier this year.
LMIT was created to co-ordinate and promote all the research conducted at Laurentian University’s four research centres. This includes the Mineral Exploration Research Centre (MERC), the Centre for Research in Occupational Safety and Health (CROSH), the Vale Living with Lakes Centre and the Mining Innovation Rehabilitation and Applied Research Corporation (MIRARCO).
