MIRARCO Founding President appointed as Fellow of the International Society for Rock Mechanics

JUNE 9, 2015 – Peter Kaiser, the founding President of MIRARCO Mining Innovation was inaugurated as a Fellow of the International Society for Rock Mechanics (ISRM). Peter was presented with the Fellow’s medal in May 2015 at the ISRM Conference in Montreal, Ontario. A position as ISRM Fellow is a very distinguished, lifetime appointment as a high-level expert providing support to the ISRM as necessary.

Professor Peter Kaiser is a graduate of the Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich and the University of Alberta, Canada. He is the author of more than 300 technical and scientific geomechanics publications and has received many awards including the ISRM Schlumberger award in 1993, awards from the Canadian Geotechnical Society and from the Canadian Institute of Mining.
